Description

Razo Ir 20 MG Tablet LR is anti-ulcer medicine used to treat conditions where your stomach produces too much acid. It relieves stress ulcers and also acidity due to the intake of painkillers. Razo Ir 20 MG Tablet LR is used along with antibiotics to prevent ulcers. It is available on prescription as a tablet, capsule, injection and sachet. Razo Ir 20 MG Tablet LR interferes with the final step of acid release in your stomach. Thus, acidity in your stomach is decreased, and the ulcer healing process is fastened. Razo Ir 20 MG Tablet LR may show some side effects like nausea, vomiting, headache, stomach pain, diarrhoea, and dizziness. These symptoms are mild and resolve with time. The chance of side effects may increase if you use this medication for a longer period (more than one year). Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to it. Razo Ir 20 MG Tablet LR can be taken one hour before a meal, preferably in the morning. The dose will be determined by your doctor. Take it at the same time every day for the ease of remembering. Razo Ir 20 MG Tablet LR usage is advisable after informing your doctor about all your current medications and if you have any medical conditions like liver, kidney or heart problems. What is it prescribed for?

Erosive Esophagitis

Esophagitis is the swelling of your oesophagus, the muscular tube that carries food from your mouth to the stomach. It occurs when excess acid produced in your stomach flows back into the oesophagus. It can also be caused due to an infection or irritation in your oesophagus. All these reasons can irritate and damage the lining of your oesophagus, resulting in a condition called erosive oesophagitis. Razo Ir 20 MG Tablet LR is used to treat this condition by decreasing stomach acid production.

Gastroesophagal Reflux Disease

Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is an acid reflux problem that occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into your oesophagus or food pipe. Heartburn and acid indigestion are the main symptoms of GERD. Razo Ir 20 MG Tablet LR helps in the treatment of GERD by decreasing stomach acid production.

Helicobacter pylori Infection

Helicobacter pylori infection or H. pylori infection is caused by a type of bacteria called Helicobacter pylori that infect your stomach. H. pylori grow inside the protective layer of your stomach lining. It is a very common infection and also the cause of gastritis (swelling of the lining of the stomach) and peptic ulcer disorder (sores in the lining of the stomach). Razo Ir 20 MG Tablet LR is used in combination with antibiotics to treat and prevent Helicobacter Pylori infection.

Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome

Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome is a condition in which tumours (abnormal growth of body tissue) form in your pancreas (an organ located behind the stomach) and duodenum (the first part of the small intestine). These tumours produce a hormone called gastrin which in turn causes excessive stomach acid. Razo Ir 20 MG Tablet LR is used to treat an excessive amount of acid produced in your stomach due to tumours.

Bone fractures

Long term use of Razo Ir 20 MG Tablet LR decreases the calcium absorption in your body leading to reduced bone density (thinning of bones). Calcium is essential for bone formation and its deficiency can increase the risk of bone fractures. Take calcium supplements or increase the intake of calcium in your diet to avoid bone thinning. Using Vitamin D supplements along with Razo Ir 20 MG Tablet LR can help to increase calcium absorption in your body.

Hypomagnesemia

Prolonged use (more than three months) of Razo Ir 20 MG Tablet LR may result in hypomagnesemia (low magnesium levels in your blood). Inform your doctor in case of dizziness, irregular heartbeat, shivering, muscle pain, seizures or fits. Your doctor may advise you to monitor your blood magnesium levels at regular intervals.
