Description

Propynate NF 0.025 % Cream is a topical medicine used to relieve swelling, redness, and itching of the skin caused due to various skin conditions such as dermatitis (swelling in the skin), psoriasis (a skin condition that causes red, itchy scaly patches), eczema (a skin condition in which skin becomes rough and inflamed associated with irritation) etc. Propynate NF 0.025 % Cream works by preventing the release of substances that causes skin swelling, redness, and itching on your skin. Propynate NF 0.025 % Cream shows side effects like burning sensation, irritation, itching, or dryness at the application site. However, these side effects may occur in the initial phase and subside by themselves as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they continue to bother you. Propynate NF 0.025 % Cream is for external use only. Use it regularly as directed by your doctor. Wash and dry the affected area before application. Spread a thin layer of the cream over the affected area. Do not cover the affected area with bandages unless directed by your doctor. Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. In case it comes in contact with these areas, rinse with plenty of water. Avoid the use of Propynate NF 0.025 % Cream for other skin conditions when not prescribed by your doctor, or around the genital and rectal areas as it may worsen your condition. Propynate NF 0.025 % Cream is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. If you are pregnant or are breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using this medicine. Propynate NF 0.025 % Cream is not recommended for use in children below one year of age. Children below 12 years of age should not use this medicine for more than five days.

Some inflammatory skin conditions include dermatitis (swelling and irritation of the skin), psoriasis (a skin condition that causes red, itchy scaly patches on the knees, elbows, chest, scalp, and other parts of the body), eczema (a skin condition in which skin become rough and inflamed associated with irritation mostly due to due to allergens), etc. Propynate NF 0.025 % Cream is used to treat such inflammatory skin conditions by decreasing the release of certain chemicals that causes swelling, redness, and itching of the skin.

Children below 12 years of age should not use this medicine for more than five days due to the increased risk of adrenal suppression (adrenal glands do not produce a sufficient amount of hormone cortisol).
