Description
Proceta Syrup is used for the treatment of fever and minor body pain due to common cold in children. It also provides relief from allergic symptoms due to common colds like runny nose, sneezing, cough, redness of the nose, and watery eyes in children. Proceta Syrup stops the release of a chemical called prostaglandin that causes pain and fever and also histamine responsible for causing allergic symptoms.
Side effects of Proceta Syrup are dizziness, sleepiness, diarrhoea, nausea or vomiting. However, Proceta Syrup is banned for use in India due to its severe adverse effects.
Proceta Syrup can be taken with or without food. Children with a sensitive stomach should take this medicine with food to prevent stomach discomfort. Administer Proceta Syrup at around the same time every day. If your child vomits this medicine within 30 minutes of administering it, then repeat the dose again.

Allergy

The use of this medicine is generally not recommended in children with severe liver diseases because it can further increase the risk of liver damage.
