Bone Marrow Depression/Blood Dyscrasias
Bone marrow depression is the decrease in bone marrow activity that results in reduced production of blood cells and anaemia. P-20 Tablet should be used with caution if you have bone marrow depression or blood dyscrasias (disease or disorder of the blood) as it may worsen your condition. Your doctor may regularly monitor your complete blood counts and platelet count. Appropriate dose adjustment or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on your clinical condition.
Respiratory acidosis is a condition that occurs when your lungs are not able to remove the carbon dioxide produced in the body. P-20 Tablet should be used with caution if you have respiratory acidosis or a history of lung problems as it can worsen your condition. Regular monitoring of the functioning of your lungs, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary.
P-20 Tablet should be used with caution if you have Diabetes mellitus. An increase in blood sugar levels and altered blood potassium levels has been reported in people with diabetes receiving P-20 Tablet. It is recommended that you regularly monitor your blood sugar levels and electrolyte levels. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on your clinical condition.
Gout is a condition that may occur due to an increased level of uric acid in your body. P-20 Tablet reduces the excretion of uric acid from your body. Hence, if you have gout or gouty arthritis, it may deteriorate your condition. Close monitoring of uric acid levels is indicated. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on your clinical condition.
Long-term treatment with P-20 Tablet can lead to metabolic acidosis (a condition in which there is excessive acid in the body fluids).
