Otobiotic SF Eye Drops is a combination of Lidocaine, Clotrimazole and Ofloxacin. This medicine is used to treat eye and ear infections caused by bacteria. It works by killing the infection-causing bacteria and also reduces the swelling/redness associated with an infection. Otobiotic SF Eye Drops may cause some side effects such as burning sensation, irritation, and dryness of the eyes/ears. These symptoms usually subside on their own. However, consult your doctor if these symptoms persist for a long time or become severe. Otobiotic SF Eye Drops is meant for use in eyes and ears only. It should be instilled as prescribed by your doctor. Continue taking the medicine for the prescribed duration only. This medicine is effective only for the treatment of infections caused by bacteria and not viruses or fungi. Otobiotic SF Eye Drops is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Otobiotic SF Eye Drops should be used with caution if you have a history of cataract (clouding of the lens of the eyes leading to blurred vision), glaucoma (eye condition due to increased pressure in the eyes that may lead to vision loss), or high intraocular pressure (fluid pressure inside your eyes) as it may worsen your condition. If this medicine is prescribed for more than 10 days, monitoring of the intraocular pressure is recommended.

Perforated eardrum

A perforated eardrum is a condition in which there is a hole or tear in the middle ear (tissue that separates your ear canal from your eardrum). It can result in hearing loss and also makes your middle ear prone to infections. Otobiotic SF Eye Drops should be used with caution if you have a perforated/ruptured eardrum due to the increased risk of worsening your condition.
