Description

Niosol-F Cream is a combination of Clobetasol and Fusidic Acid. It is used to treat skin infections caused by bacteria. Niosol-F Cream works by killing the bacteria and thus helps in preventing the spread of infection. It helps to decrease symptoms like redness, swelling, and itching due to various skin conditions. Niosol-F Cream may rarely cause side effects like burning sensation, irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application. These side effects usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen. Avoid using this cream if you are allergic to it. Do not touch or scratch the affected area as it may cause the infection to spread. Niosol-F Cream is a prescription medicine and should be used only upon doctor's advice. Wash and dry the affected areas before application. Apply a thin layer of Niosol-F Cream to the affected areas 1-2 times a day or as advised by your doctor. It is for external use only. Avoid contact with your eyes and mouth. In case of accidental contact, wash thoroughly with water. Niosol-F Cream is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before using Niosol-F Cream. It may take several weeks for this medicine to improve your condition. Hence, do not stop using it without consulting your doctor.

What is it prescribed for?

This condition mostly occurs due to contact with allergens (foreign particles), family history, immune system-related conditions, etc. Niosol-F Cream is used to treat eczema.

Psoriasis

Psoriasis is an autoimmune disorder (your immune system malfunctions and attacks healthy cells of your body) that causes your skin cells to multiply faster than normal. This causes a buildup of skin cells, resulting in dry, rough, scaly, and itchy skin. It mostly affects the lower back, elbows, knees, legs, feet, scalp, face, and palms. Niosol-F Cream is used in the treatment of psoriasis.

Hyperadrenocorticism is a condition that occurs due to high levels of cortisol (a chemical substance that helps your body respond to stress, regulate blood sugar, and fight infections) in the body. Niosol-F Cream should be used with caution as it may cause or worsen hyperadrenocorticism, in some cases.

Ocular Toxicities

Rarely, Niosol-F Cream may increase the intraocular pressure (pressure inside the eyes) and cause glaucoma (a condition where the pressure within the eyeballs is abnormally high that can damage the optic nerve and lead to loss of vision). Inform your doctor if you experience any vision problems.
