Description

New Nervijen-CT Tablet is a combination dietary medicine used as a cognitive enhancer (improve memory, increase mental alertness and concentration). It is responsible for maintaining and regulating the various vital function of the brain such as nerves transmission. This medicine restores vitamin B12 levels in the body and helps in the proper growth of the brain. This medicine enhances cognitive functions such as memory, thinking ability, etc. This medicine also repairs the damaged nerves during brain injury. This medicine is not indicated for children and used only in age-related memory loss, as a cognitive enhancer. The common side effects of New Nervijen-CT Tablet are headache, diarrhoea, irregular heartbeat and low or high blood pressure. Most of these side effects do not require medical intervention and resolves with time. However, if any of these side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor at the earliest. Drink plenty of water as this medicine may cause diarrhoea. Avoid using this medicine if you are allergic to it. Take New Nervijen-CT Tablet as directed by your doctor and do not self-medicate or stop on your own. You can take this medicine with or without food. Discuss all the known illnesses with your doctor before taking this medicine. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding mother. Your doctor may advise you lab or radiologic test to make sure whether the medicine is responding well or not.

Uses of New Nervijen-CT Tablet

What is it prescribed for?

Acute ischemic stroke

Acute ischemic stroke occurs due to blockage of a blood vessel by a clot causing limited blood flow to the brain. New Nervijen-CT Tablet is used for recovery from a brain stroke caused by the formation of a blood clot in the blood vessels.

Alzheimer's disease

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive brain condition where the brain cells themselves degenerate and die. It results in a gradual loss of memory and also reduces the ability to think, learn, communicate, or handle daily activities. New Nervijen-CT Tablet gets converted to a form called choline that protects the brain cells from damage and also repairs the damaged brain cells. Therefore, New Nervijen-CT Tablet is used for the improvement of cognition in patients suffering from AD.

Cerebral insufficiency

Cerebral insufficiency occurs when there is a lack of proper blood flow to the brain due to brain injury or blood clots. It can result in memory loss, poor concentration and lack of orientation. New Nervijen-CT Tablet is used to improve blood flow problems in the brain.

Other diseases of the brain

Many other diseases of the brain like Parkinson's disease, age-related dementia, etc., are also treated with New Nervijen-CT Tablet to improve the symptoms.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is an eye condition of abnormally high eye pressure that can cause loss of vision. It can damage the eye's optic nerve responsible for vision. New Nervijen-CT Tablet is used to improve vision in people with optic nerve damage.

Allergy

Leber Hereditary Optic Neuropathy (LHON)

LHON is a rare genetic disorder, characterized by pain in the eye and surrounding area with loss of vision (sometimes blindness) caused by eye nerve damage (optic nerve). New Nervijen-CT Tablet causes a decrease in the size of nerves (atrophy) that may worsen the condition. Hence, this medicine is not recommended for this disease.

Drowsiness

Mental illness

New Nervijen-CT Tablet should be used with caution in patients with mental illnesses such as depression, schizophrenia (a disorder that affects a person's ability to think, feel and behave clearly), anxiety disorders, eating disorders and addictive behaviours.

Elderly

Few elderly patients may have a reduced capacity to absorb New Nervijen-CT Tablet through the intestine. Your doctor may advise a dose adjustment based on the clinical condition.

Gastrointestinal surgery

Patients who have had recent gastrointestinal surgery may have reduced absorption of New Nervijen-CT Tablet. Your doctor may advise a dose adjustment or other dosage form based on the clinical condition.

Body odour

New Nervijen-CT Tablet may cause fishy body odour. Your doctor may advise some medicine to cover the fishy body odour.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose of New Nervijen-CT Tablet as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume at the scheduled time. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.

Overdose

Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case you suspect an overdose of New Nervijen-CT Tablet.

Take New Nervijen-CT Tablet exactly as instructed by the doctor. Take this medicine with or without food. Do not take in larger or smaller amounts than prescribed. How it works

Citicoline works by increasing a chemical compound (phosphatidylcholine) that nourishes brain nerves and protects them from damage, thus enhances their survival. Methylcobalamin works by regenerating and rejuvenating damaged nerves of the brain. It also lowers down the harmful chemical (homocysteine) that increases blood clots and damages the brain blood vessels.
