Description

Nervijen-P Capsule is a combination medicine that consists of Benfotiamine, Folic acid, Methylcobalamin, Pyridoxine and Pregabalin. It is used to treat neuropathic pain (pain due to nerve damage). This medicine protects the nerves from getting damaged and regenerates the damaged nerves. Nervijen-P Capsule has some common side effects like diarrhoea, nausea and vomiting. It may also cause dizziness in some people. Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines if you feel dizzy after taking this medicine. If any of these side effects do not resolve with time or worsen, consult your doctor. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it. Nervijen-P Capsule can be taken with or without food. To maintain constant levels of this medicine, take it at the same time every day. Take this medicine in the dose and for the duration as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor. If stopped abruptly, you might experience withdrawal symptoms like anxiety, fatigue, sweating, vomiting, depression, seizures, and hallucinations. Nervijen-P Capsule is not recommended for use in children less than 18 years of age. Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems before taking it as this medicine may worsen your condition. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, or are breastfeeding before taking this medicine. Nervijen-P Capsule may cause drowsiness. Be careful when you rise from a sitting or lying position, as this medicine may cause dizziness. Do not consume alcohol while using this medicine as it can lead to excessive drowsiness.

What is it prescribed for?

Diabetic Neuropathy

Diabetic Neuropathy refers to nerve damage that may occur due to diabetes (high blood sugar levels). The symptoms include pain, numbness, tingling/burning sensation, etc. in the legs. Nervijen-P Capsule is used for the treatment of diabetic neuropathy.

Postherpetic Neuralgia

Postherpetic neuralgia is the most common complication of shingles, an infection that causes a painful skin rash that blisters. Postherpetic neuralgia occurs due to damage to nerve fibres during shingles infection. Nervijen-P Capsule is used for the relief of nerve pain and helps to regenerate damaged nerves, caused due to herpes virus infection.

Wernicke Encephalopathy

Wernicke encephalopathy is a neurological condition caused by paralysis of muscles surrounding the eyes, ataxia (loss of full or partial body control) and confusion. This is caused due to nerve damage in the brain. Nervijen-P Capsule helps in rejuvenating the damaged nerves and also suppresses the pain caused by nerves damage.

Inflammatory skin conditions

Nervijen-P Capsule is used in combination with other medicines to treat inflammatory skin conditions such as dermatitis (swelling of the skin), eczema (red, itchy, cracked skin), psoriasis (red, itching, scaly and patchy skin), etc. This medicine provides essential nutrients to the affected part for fast recovery and also prevents further nerve damage.

Nervijen-P Capsule is not recommended for use if have this genetic eye disorder as it can cause atrophy (decrease in the size of nerves) that may worsen your condition.

Nervijen-P Capsule is a combination of Benfotiamine, Folic acid, Methylcobalamin, Pyridoxine and Pregabalin. Benfotiamine and folic acid provide essential nutrients to the nerves for their proper functioning. Methylcobalamin and pyridoxine help in the formation of the myelin sheath (protective outer coving of the nerve) and helps in rejuvenating damaged nerves. Pregabalin reduces pain by modulating chemical messengers in the nerve cells. Together they relieve neuropathic pain.
