Description

Nebasulf Powder is used for the prevention and treatment of bacterial infections associated with skin injuries, burns, cuts and wounds. It also relieves symptoms of minor infections such as redness, swelling, and itching. This powder promotes faster healing of cuts, wounds, burns, ulcers and umbilical cord dressing. Nebasulf Powder prevent the growth of bacteria causing the infections. It may rarely cause burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the application site. These symptoms last only for a very few days and disappear with time. Do not use this powder if you are previously allergic to it. Use Nebasulf Powder as advised by your doctor for the prescribed period of time. Sprinkle the powder gently on the wound as required, with or without a secondary dressing or exactly as instructed by your doctor. Do not ingest into your mouth.

Use Nebasulf Powder 2 or 3 times a day to the affected areas. Finish your entire prescribed period of treatment even if your symptoms begin to clear up after a few days. Do not use a bandage or dressing to cover the affected areas unless directed by the doctor. An overdose and long term use of this powder may cause thinning of the skin and other side effects on the skin.

How it works

Sulfacetamide stops the growth of bacteria by blocking the production of folic acid necessary for the bacteria to divide and increase in numbers. Neomycin stops the production of certain proteins required for the growth of the bacteria. Bacitracin kills bacteria by stopping bacterial cell wall formation.
