Description

Montemac 4 MG Tablet DT is a dispersible tablet that contains montelukast. It is used in adults and children above 2 years of age for the prevention of asthma and managing breathing issues caused by exercise (exercise-induced bronchoconstriction). It is also used to treat the symptoms of year-round allergies like rhinitis identified by symptoms like a runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, itching, hives, etc. It can prevent an asthma attack but it is not effective once an attack occurs, in that case, you would need an inhaler. Montemac 4 MG Tablet DT may cause some temporary side effects like dizziness, fever, headache, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhoea. These side effects should generally subside by time but if they persist or bother you, consult your doctor. Montemac 4 MG Tablet DT should be used as prescribed by your doctor at a fixed time with or without food. If you want to use this medicine for asthma prevention, then it should be taken 2 hours before the physical activity. For allergies, it is recommended to be used in the evening. your doctor may also suggest a long term treatment plan for asthma prevention. Montemac 4 MG Tablet DT is not suitable for children below the age of 2 years. This medicine is not to be taken with flu medicine as it may cause side effects. Montemac 4 MG Tablet DT is not recommended to be used in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Inform your doctor about the use of other medicines if any as this medicine may affect their activity or effects of this medicine gets affected by them. Let your doctor know about the medical conditions you have if any kidney or liver diseases. Avoid consumption of alcohol after taking this medicine as it may cause drowsiness and affect your concentration.

Asthma is a condition in which your airways narrow and swell and may produce extra mucus. Montemac 4 MG Tablet DT is used for the prevention of wheezing, difficulty breathing, chest tightness, and coughing associated with asthma caused by vigorous physical activity.

Allergic rhinitis

Allergic rhinitis is an allergic response causing itchy, watery eyes, sneezing and other similar symptoms. Montemac 4 MG Tablet DT is used to treat symptoms associated with year-round allergic rhinitis.

Bronchospasm

Bronchospasm occurs when your airways (bronchial tubes) go into spasm and contract. Montemac 4 MG Tablet DT is used to treat or prevent bronchospasm (breathing difficulties) caused by exercise.

Aspirin sensitivity
