Description

Metrogyl-P Ointment is a combination of Metronidazole and Povidone Iodine. This medicine is used for the prevention and treatment of surgical wound infections in adults. It is also used to treat infected open wounds. It is an antibiotic and antiseptic preparation that works by killing the infection-causing bacteria and preventing further bacterial growth. Metrogyl-P Ointment may cause mild redness, irritation, itching, burning sensation of your skin. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or if they become severe. Metrogyl-P Ointment should be applied externally on the affected part of your skin as directed by your doctor. Continue using the medicine for the prescribed duration to reduce your risk of re-infection. Metrogyl-P Ointment should be avoided if you are allergic to it.
