Uses of Metpure-XL 25 Tablet

What is it prescribed for?

Hypertension

Blood pressure is the force of blood pushing against the walls of blood vessels. Hypertension or high blood pressure occurs when blood vessels are tightened. As a result, the heart doesn't get enough blood and increases the body’s oxygen demand. Metpure-XL 25 Tablet causes blood vessels to relax which helps to reduce the blood pressure and body’s oxygen demand. Therefore, Metpure-XL 25 Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure.

Angina pectoris

Angina pectoris is chest pain or discomfort due to reduced blood flow to the heart. It occurs when the blood vessels are narrowed or blocked. Metoprolol causes blood vessels to relax resulting in an improved blood flow to the heart. Therefore, Metpure-XL 25 Tablet is used to treat angina pectoris.

Heart Attack

Metpure-XL 25 Tablet reduces heart damage and lowers the risk of repeated heart attacks. Metpure-XL 25 Tablet is also used during the early stages of treatment of a heart attack.

Congestive Heart Failure

Your heart is an organ that pumps blood throughout your body. Heart failure occurs when your heart is unable to pump enough blood to body parts. The heart becomes weak and the heart muscle cannot keep up with its workload. Metpure-XL 25 Tablet slows down the activity of your heart and makes it easier to pump blood out of the heart and around the body. Metpure-XL 25 Tablet is used to treat congestive heart failure.
