Description
MASHYNE SACH 1 GM contains Vitamin D3, which is essential for the proper growth and development of your body. It helps in the absorption of calcium and phosphates from your bowel, which keeps your bones and teeth healthy. It is given especially to the elderly and to those having a deficiency of Vitamin D3 due to familial or environmental reasons.
MASHYNE SACH 1 GM can rarely cause side effects like constipation, confusion, nausea, vomiting, etc. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen.
MASHYNE SACH 1 GM can be taken with or without food, as instructed by your doctor. For ease of remembering, take it at the same time every day. Your dose will depend on the severity of your condition. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting with your doctor.
MASHYNE SACH 1 GM is not recommended if you have malabsorption syndrome (insufficient absorption of nutrients from the stomach), or high calcium or vitamin D3 levels in your body. What is it prescribed for?
Vitamin D deficiency
Vitamin D deficiency can occur in case of insufficient exposure to sunlight, insufficient vitamin D food intake, genetic abnormalities, or if you have severe liver or kidney problems. MASHYNE SACH 1 GM helps in the treatment of Vitamin D deficiency.
Osteoporosis and Rickets (bone disease due to Vitamin D deficiency)
Osteomalacia (a condition leading to soft and weak bones), osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones), and rickets (a condition that affects bone development in children) are bone conditions caused by Vitamin D deficiency. MASHYNE SACH 1 GM is used to treat such conditions by meeting the calcium requirements of the body.
Hypoparathyroidism
Hypoparathyroidism is a condition in which your body produces abnormally low levels of parathyroid hormone (PTH). This hormone is responsible for regulating and maintaining the balance of calcium in your body. MASHYNE SACH 1 GM is used to treat calcium deficiency caused by low PTH.

Allergy

Nephrolithiasis

Nephrocalcinosis
Nephrocalcinosis is a condition in which there is too much calcium deposited in your kidney. It is common in premature babies. MASHYNE SACH 1 GM is not recommended if you have such a condition, as it increases the absorption of calcium level in your blood which can further increase the deposition in your kidney.
Hypervitaminosis D
MASHYNE SACH 1 GM is not recommended for use if you have abnormally high levels of Vitamin D3 in your body. Taking this medicine in such cases could lead to toxic accumulation in your body.
Hypercalcaemia
Hypercalcaemia is too much calcium in your blood. MASHYNE SACH 1 GM is not recommended if you have hypercalcaemia as it can increase the absorption of calcium in your blood. Thus it can worsen your condition.

Arrhythmia
Arrhythmia is an improper heartbeat, either too fast or too slow. MASHYNE SACH 1 GM can raise blood calcium concentrations and can aggravate arrhythmias, especially if you are on cardiac glycosides (medicines used for treating heart failure). Hence MASHYNE SACH 1 GM should be used with caution if you have arrhythmias.

Take MASHYNE SACH 1 GM exactly as advised by your doctor. Follow all the instructions given in the package insert.
Empty the contents of the packet into a glass of water. Stir and leave the mixture for a few minutes until it has thickened. Stir again and drink the mixture within 30 minutes of reconstitution.
