Description

Levomac 125 MG Oral Suspension is fluoroquinolone antibiotic used for the treatment of bacterial infections affecting the lungs, skin and urinary tract - the kidneys, bladder, ureters, or urethra. This suspension is effective against a large number of bacteria. It kills or prevents the growth of bacteria in the body. It is not effective against infections caused by viruses. Common side effects of Levomac 125 MG Oral Suspension are diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, weakness, nausea, and vomiting. Levomac 125 MG Oral Suspension can cause muscle damage, usually in the ankle. It should only be used to treat or prevent infections that are caused by bacteria. Once an antibiotic is started, it is always recommended to finish the entire course of treatment. For the best results, take this antibiotic at evenly spaced times. You can take Levomac 125 MG Oral Suspension 1 hour before or 2 hours after food. For the ease of remembering, take this suspension around the same time every day.

What is it prescribed for?

Cystitis

Cystitis is the swelling of the urinary bladder usually caused by a bacterial infection. This is more common in women because their urethra is much shorter, which means bacteria can go into the bladder more easily. Levomac 125 MG Oral Suspension is used to treat cystitis caused by bacteria.

Pyelonephriits

Pyelonephritis is the swelling of the kidneys due to bacterial infection. This infection starts in your urethra or bladder and spreads through the ureters to the kidneys. Levomac 125 MG Oral Suspension is used to treat pyelonephritis. You will start feeling better within a few days after taking Levomac 125 MG Oral Suspension.

Nongonococcal Urethritis

Urethritis is the swelling of the urethra, a small tube that carries urine from the bladder to the outside of the body. Levomac 125 MG Oral Suspension is used to treat urethritis caused by bacteria other than gonorrhoea.

Skin and soft tissue infections

Skin and soft tissue infections occur when the bacteria invade the skin and its supporting structures. Levomac 125 MG Oral Suspension is used to treat all skin infections including abscess caused by bacteria.

Community-Acquired Pneumonia

Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) refers to pneumonia (lung infection) that is acquired outside the hospital. CAP can be bacterial or viral. Levomac 125 MG Oral Suspension is used to treat CAP caused by bacteria like Mycoplasma pneumonia, Streptococcus pneumonia, Haemophilus influenzae, etc.

Bronchitis is the swelling and irritation of bronchial tubes that regulates air passage in the lungs. Levomac 125 MG Oral Suspension is used to treat bronchitis caused by bacteria.

Inhalation Anthrax

Photosensitivity
