Disease interactions
Asthma is an allergic reaction causing narrowing and excess mucous secretion in the air pathway of your lungs leading to breathing difficulty. People with asthma may experience allergic reactions while taking Jonac Plus (50/500 mg) Tablet. Hence, it is not recommended for use in people with asthma, especially those who had experienced allergic reactions with the use of other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines.
Gastro-Intestinal toxicity
Long term use of Jonac Plus (50/500 mg) Tablet can cause damage to the stomach and intestine. Serious conditions like bleeding or the development of ulcers in the linings of the stomach or intestinal wall can occur. Any symptom indicating ulceration and bleeding like indigestion, the appearance of coffee coloured dry blood in stools or vomiting of blood should be reported to your doctor immediately.
Long-term use of Jonac Plus (50/500 mg) Tablet may increase the risk of a heart attack in people with pre-existing heart conditions. It is not recommended for use in such people. It is also not suitable for treating pain after heart surgery.
