Description

Ist 20 MG Tablet SR is used to treat and prevent peripheral vascular disease, a blood circulation disorder where the blood vessels outside of the heart and brain become narrowed. This happens when plaque (fat deposits) builds up in arteries that supply blood to the peripheral parts of the body like arms and legs.Ist 20 MG Tablet SR helps in increasing the blood flow in the blood vessels and improves blood circulation. Common side effects of Ist 20 MG Tablet SR are dizziness, drowsiness, vomiting and stomach pain. Do not use this medicine in patients with bleeding disorders. You can take Ist 20 MG Tablet SR with or without food. For the ease of remembering, take it at around the same time every day. Never take more than the prescribed dose.

What is it prescribed for?

Peripheral vascular diseases

Peripheral vascular diseases (PVD) is a condition in which the blood vessels are narrowed or blocked by fat plaques in the arteries outside of the heart and brain. The build-up of fat or cholesterol plaques inside the blood vessels, a condition called atherosclerosis can decrease or stop the blood flow usually to the arms and legs. Ist 20 MG Tablet SR makes blood vessels wider and allows blood to pass through them more easily. Hence it is used to treat poor blood flow conditions like Buerger's disease and Raynaud's disease to improve the blood flow in the blood vessels.
