Description

Hhmus 0.1% Ointment is used to treat atopic dermatitis (a skin condition that causes your skin to become dry, red, and itchy). This medicine works by preventing your immune system from producing certain chemical substances and helps in providing relief from the symptoms of atopic dermatitis. Hhmus 0.1% Ointment may cause burning, itching, redness or tingling sensation at the application site. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen. Hhmus 0.1% Ointment should be applied externally to the affected part of your skin as directed by your doctor. Continue using this medicine for the prescribed duration to avoid a flare-up of your symptoms. Hhmus 0.1% Ointment should be avoided if you are allergic to it. This medicine in 0.1% strength is not recommended in children below 16 years of age and in 0.03% strength is not recommended in children below two years of age. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or are planning a pregnancy, consult your doctor before using this medication.

Atopic dermatitis

Atopic dermatitis, the most common form of eczema, is a condition that causes your skin to become dry, red, and itchy (usually on your arms and behind the knees). It is common in children, usually develops in early childhood, and is more common in people who have a family history of this condition. Hhmus 0.1% Ointment is used in the treatment of atopic dermatitis.

Use in children

Hhmus 0.1% Ointment is meant for external use only. Do not use this medicine on infected skin or open wounds. Avoid contact with your eyes. In case of accidental contact with your eyes, rinse it thoroughly with water.

Other skin problems

Hhmus 0.1% Ointment is not recommended if you have Netherton's syndrome (a rare, genetic condition causing abnormalities of your skin, hair, and immune system), lamellar ichthyosis (a rare, genetic condition affecting your skin), generalized erythroderma (a condition with widespread reddening of your skin) due to the increased risk of severe side effects.

Other medicines

Hhmus 0.1% Ointment may interact with other medicines meant for topical use. Concomitant use of this medicine and other medicines for external use on the same area of your skin should therefore be avoided. Inform your doctor about the topical preparations (ointments/lotions/gels) that you may have been using to avoid undesired side effects.

Skin sensitivity

Hhmus 0.1% Ointment may increase the sensitivity of your skin to sunlight. Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight, wear protective clothing and use sunscreen with a high sun protection factor while on treatment with this medicine.

Missed Dose

Apply the missed dose of Hhmus 0.1% Ointment as soon as you remember. Do not apply a double dose to make up for the missed one.

Overdose

Since Hhmus 0.1% Ointment is intended for external use, the likelihood of side effects due to an overdose is low. However, do not apply more than the prescribed dose.
