Description

Exizol 2% Shampoo is an antifungal medicine that contains Ketoconazole. It is used in the treatment of fungal skin infections like seborrhoeic dermatitis (a condition that appears as red, dry, flaky, itchy skin on the scalp and other parts of the body) and dandruff caused by fungal infections. This medicine is also used in treating pityriasis, a kind of skin rash that starts with a big spot usually on the chest, abdomen, or back. Exizol 2% Shampoo works by weakening the cell walls of the fungi. Thus, it treats the infection by killing the fungus and preventing it from spreading. Exizol 2% Shampoo has some minor side effects like redness, dryness, burning sensation at the site of application. Discontinue the use and consult your doctor if you experience severe burning, itching of the skin, rashes, etc. Do not use this shampoo if you are allergic to it. Exizol 2% Shampoo is a prescription medicine. It should be used on your doctor's prescription only. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after each usage of Exizol 2% Shampoo. Wet your scalp and apply a small amount of this medication to the scalp. Leave the shampoo on the scalp for 3-4 minutes and rinse with cold water. It is recommended for external use only. Avoid direct contact with the eyes, mouth, or open wounds. Wash thoroughly with water in case of accidental contact. Exizol 2% Shampoo is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before using this medicine. Inform your doctor if you do not notice any improvement in your condition even after four weeks of use.
