Ethasyl T Tablet is a combination medicine that consists of Tranexamic acid and Ethamsylate. It is used for the treatment of prolonged or heavy menstrual bleeding. This medicine prevents the breakdown of blood clots in your body and also increases the ability of platelets to stick together and helps in the formation of blood clots. Thus, Ethasyl T Tablet effectively control excessive bleeding. Ethasyl T Tablet shows common side effects like nausea, stomach pain, headache, and joint pain. It may also cause diarrhoea in some people. Drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration if you experience diarrhoea. Consult your doctor at the earliest if any of these side effects persist or worsen. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it. Ethasyl T Tablet is not recommended for use in children under 18 years of age. Ethasyl T Tablet can be taken with or without food. Take this medicine at the same time every day as prescribed by your doctor and do not change the dose and frequency on your own. Do not stop using this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor. Consult your doctor if you do not notice any improvement in 3 consecutive periods. Ethasyl T Tablet can impact the action of other medicines. Inform your doctor if you have any other medical conditions such as kidney or heart problems, porphyria, bleeding disorder, etc. and also your ongoing medicines. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding before taking this medicine. Your doctor may monitor your clotting or bleeding time and advise eye checkups for safety aspects.
