Consumption of alcohol is not recommended during treatment with Drotanic M Tablet due to the increased risk of serious side effects such as severe gastrointestinal bleeding, dizziness, drowsiness, etc. It is advised that you do not perform activities that require high mental alertness like driving vehicles or operating machines if you consume alcohol while taking this medicine.
Interaction with Medicine
Disease interactions
Drotanic M Tablet may trigger an asthmatic attack. If you have asthma, do not take this medicine as it may lead to severe allergic reactions and even an asthmatic attack.
Drotanic M Tablet should be used with caution if you have kidney problems. This medicine is eliminated through the kidneys and if you use it while you have a pre-existing kidney problem, it will damage your kidneys further.
People with liver problems need to be careful while taking Drotanic M Tablet due to the risk of liver damage. Your doctor will suggest tests to monitor your liver function.
Porphyria is a genetic disease in which there is a buildup of chemicals called porphyrins related to red blood cell proteins. Drotanic M Tablet should be used with extreme caution if you have porphyria due to the risk of adverse effects.
Gastrointestinal Disorders
Drotanic M Tablet may cause stomach and intestinal bleeding and hence not recommended for use if you have stomach ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding problems.
