Description

Distinon Tablet is a medicine used in the treatment of myasthenia gravis (a neuromuscular disorder where the muscles become weak and fatigue easily), paralytic ileus (impaired muscle contraction in the intestine that does not allow the food to pass through it), urinary retention (an inability to completely empty the urine from the bladder) after surgery. It works by inhibiting the breakdown of a chemical substance called acetylcholine in the body, thus improving muscle strength. Distinon Tablet may cause side effects like skin rash, diarrhoea, abdominal cramps, weakness, nausea, and vomiting. These side effects generally subside by themselves. However, consult your doctor if they persist or worsen. Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines, as this medicine may cause miosis (excessive constriction of the pupil of the eye) and accommodation disorders (an eye focusing problem). Distinon Tablet is a prescription medicine and should be taken only on your doctor's advise. This medicine can be taken with or without food. The dose and duration of treatment will be decided by your doctor based on the severity of your condition. Do not take more than the prescribed dose. Avoid discontinuing this medicine without consulting your doctor, as it can worsen your condition. Distinon Tablet is not recommended if you are allergic to it or have a bladder or bowel obstruction. Inform your doctor about your current medications and existing medical conditions, especially any lung or kidney problems you have. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking Distinon Tablet.
