Description

Dicef 1 GM Injection is an antibiotic medicine containing cefadroxil. It is used to treat bacterial infections of the throat, skin, urinary tract, etc. It is also used in the treatment of impetigo (a skin infection caused by bacteria). This medicine prevents infection by killing or stopping the growth of the bacteria. Dicef 1 GM Injection is not effective against infections caused by viruses. Dicef 1 GM Injection has some side effects like diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, weakness, nausea, vomiting, pain at the site of injection, etc. Consult your doctor if any side effects persist or bother you. Inform your doctor if you are allergic to Dicef 1 GM Injection. This medicine may also cause dizziness. Hence, avoid driving vehicles or operating machines after taking Dicef 1 GM Injection. Dicef 1 GM Injection should be administered into your vein by a health care professional in a hospital. The dose will be determined by your doctor based on your condition. Once you started using this medicine, ensure that the entire course of treatment is completed. It should only be used to treat or prevent infections that are caused by bacteria. Dicef 1 GM Injection effects may be delayed when taken immediately after receiving live vaccines. Therefore, use this medicine at least 1-2 hours after receiving the vaccine. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, before taking Dicef 1 GM Injection. Dicef 1 GM Injection is not recommended for use in case of a common cold, flu or other viral infections. Pharyngitis/Tonsilitis

Pharyngitis and tonsillitis are infections that cause swelling and soreness in the throat and tonsils. If this infection affects both the throat and the tonsils, then it is called pharyngotonsillitis. Dicef 1 GM Injection is used to treat pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and/or pharyngotonsillitis.

Lung infections

Dicef 1 GM Injection is used to treat the following lung infections caused by bacteria: 1. Pneumonia is an infection of the air sacs in the lungs (either single or both lungs). It can be bacterial and viral. 2. Bronchitis is the swelling and irritation of bronchial tubes that causes obstruction to air passage in your lungs.

Impetigo

Impetigo is a skin infection caused by bacteria. This condition is characterized by red sores around the mouth, nose and may also be seen on hands and feet. These sores later burst and release yellowish liquid which on drying forms honey-coloured crusts. Dicef 1 GM Injection is used to reduce the sores and treat the infection.

Cystitis

Cystitis is the swelling of the urinary bladder usually caused by a bacterial infection. Dicef 1 GM Injection is used to treat cystitis.
