Dermi 5 Cream is a combination of Clobetasol, Gentamicin, Tolnaftate, Cliquinol and Ketaconazole. It is a topical medicine (to be applied externally), that helps to treat skin infections caused by bacteria and fungi. This cream works by killing bacteria and fungi, thereby reducing skin infections. Dermi 5 Cream may cause side effects like burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application. Inform your doctor if these side effects bother you or persist for a longer duration. However, this cream is banned for use in India due to its severe side effects. Avoid using this cream if you are allergic to it. Dermi 5 Cream is a prescription medicine and should be applied as directed by your doctor. Wash and dry the affected area before application. Apply a small amount of Dermi 5 Cream to the affected area 1-2 times a day. Do not touch or scratch the affected area as it may spread the infection. Dermi 5 Cream is for external use. It helps in relieving symptoms such as redness, rash and itching associated with athlete's foot (a fungal infection that is caused due to excessive sweating of the feet), jock itch (a fungal infection that occurs on the moist and warm areas of the body like the genitals, inner thighs and buttocks), ringworm infection (a fungal foot infection that usually begins between the toes and spread to the toenails).

Dermi 5 Cream is a combination of five medicines- Clobetasol, Gentamicin, Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin), Ketoconazole, and Tolnaftate. Clobetasol works by inhibiting the production of chemicals that cause inflammation. Gentamicin works by preventing the formation of the bacterial cell wall. Tolnaftate shows its antifungal activity by inhibiting the growth of the fungal cell membrane. Clioquinol work by inhibiting the DNA synthesis of the bacterial cell membrane. Ketoconazole works by stopping the growth of fungi by disrupting the cell wall of the fungi.
