Description
Dermi 5 Cream is a combination of Clobetasol, Gentamicin, Tolnaftate, Cliquinol and Ketaconazole. It is a topical medicine (to be applied externally), that helps to treat skin infections caused by bacteria and fungi. This cream works by killing bacteria and fungi, thereby reducing skin infections.
Dermi 5 Cream may cause side effects like burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application. Inform your doctor if these side effects bother you or persist for a longer duration. However, this cream is banned for use in India due to its severe side effects. Avoid using this cream if you are allergic to it.
Dermi 5 Cream is a prescription medicine and should be applied as directed by your doctor. Wash and dry the affected area before application. Apply a small amount of Dermi 5 Cream to the affected area 1-2 times a day. Do not touch or scratch the affected area as it may spread the infection.
Dermi 5 Cream is for external use. Avoid contact with your eyes and mouth. Wash your eyes and mouth immediately in case of accidental contact. Dermi 5 Cream is used to treat symptoms such as redness, swelling and itching due to bacterial skin infections like cellulitis (a bacterial infection that causes redness and swelling of the skin), impetigo (a highly contagious skin infection that causes red sores on the face) or folliculitis (a common skin condition in which hair follicles become inflamed).
Fungal skin infections
Dermi 5 Cream is used to treat skin infections that are caused by fungus. It helps in relieving symptoms such as redness, rash and itching associated with athlete's foot (a fungal infection that is caused due to excessive sweating of the feet), jock itch (a fungal infection that occurs on the moist and warm areas of the body like the genitals, inner thighs and buttocks), ringworm infection (a fungal foot infection that usually begins between the toes and spread to the toenails).
