Description

Cynocal M Injection contains methylcobalamin, a man-made form of Vitamin B12 which is important for nerve health, brain function, and red blood cell production. This medicine is mainly used to treat Vitamin B12 deficiency in people with anaemia and peripheral neuropathy (nerve pain in hands and feet). Methylcobalamin regulates certain vital bodily functions like cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis. Cynocal M Injection rarely shows side effects. However, sometimes you may experience diarrhoea, headache, nausea, and vomiting. Inform your doctor if these side effects persist. Temporary pain or redness at the injection site is also reported in some people. Do not use Cynocal M Injection if you are allergic to it. Cynocal M Injection is administered by a qualified health care professional in a hospital or clinic. Do not self-administer this injection. The dose and duration of injection will be decided by your doctor depending upon your health condition. Cynocal M Injection should be taken with caution if you have low potassium levels and optic nerve disease (swelling and damage of the nerves of eyes). Before taking this injection inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, Leber's disease (nerve disease that leads to sudden, painless vision loss). What is it prescribed for?

Peripheral Neuropathy

Peripheral neuropathy is the damage to the peripheral nerves (nerves that are present outside the brain and spinal cord). This nerve damage mostly occurs in your feet and hands resulting in weakness, numbness, and pain. There are several causes that can lead to peripheral neuropathy such as diabetes, injuries, and infections. Cynocal M Injection is used in the treatment of peripheral neuropathy. The medicine helps in the production of myelin, which covers nerve fibres and protects them.

Megaloblastic Anaemia

Megaloblastic Anaemia is a bone marrow disorder wherein there may be an overproduction of abnormal and immature red blood cells. This condition mainly occurs due to a deficiency of either Vitamin B12 or folic acid in your body. Symptoms may include muscle weakness, diarrhoea, vision problems, etc. Cynocal M Injection is used to treat anaemia due to deficiency of Vitamin B12. The medicine helps in the production of red blood cells.
