Description
Clostar 0.05% Cream is topical medicine used to treat skin conditions such as eczema (skin becomes dry, itchy, red, and bumpy), dermatitis (skin irritation), psoriasis (a skin condition that occurs due to abnormal immune activity and causes dry, itchy, and scaly skin due to buildup of skin cells), etc. This medicine works by decreasing the production of certain chemicals in your body. Thus, it reduces redness and swelling on your skin.
Clostar 0.05% Cream may cause side effects like burning sensation, itching, and redness at the site of application. These symptoms may last only for a few days and disappear with time as your body adjusts to the medicine. However, consult your doctor if these side effects do not subside with time or worsen.
Clostar 0.05% Cream is meant for external use only. Do not use this medicine for more than the prescribed duration. Clean the affected area and pat dry before applying Clostar 0.05% Cream. Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected area and spread it evenly. Avoid direct contact with your eyes and mouth. Wash immediately with water in case of accidental contact.

Hyperadrenocorticism is a condition that occurs due to high levels of cortisol (a chemical substance that helps your body respond to stress, regulate blood sugar, and fight infections) in the body. Clostar 0.05% Cream should be used with caution as it may occasionally cause or worsen hyperadrenocorticism if applied over a large area for a prolonged time.
Ocular Toxicities
Rarely, Clostar 0.05% Cream may increase the intraocular pressure (high pressure inside the eye caused by an imbalance in the production and drainage of fluid in the eye) and cause glaucoma (a condition where the pressure within the eyeballs is abnormally high that can damage the optic nerve and lead to loss of vision).
