Cipcal D3 Capsule is a supplement that helps in the normal functioning of your body. It also helps in the absorption of calcium and phosphorus into your blood. Thus, this medicine is used in the prevention and treatment of vitamin D3 deficiency. Cipcal D3 Capsule can rarely cause side effects like constipation, confusion, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, too much calcium in your blood or urine, etc. Consult your doctor if these side effects remain for a long time or become worse. Cipcal D3 Capsule should be taken as instructed by your doctor. Your doctor will determine the dose based on the severity of your condition. For the ease of remembering, try taking it at the same time every day. Avoid the discontinuation of this medicine without consulting your doctor. Cipcal D3 Capsule is not recommended if you have kidney stones, or high calcium or vitamin D3 levels in your body. Inform your doctor about all your current medicines as they can interact with Cipcal D3 Capsule and increase the risk of side effects. Use this medicine with caution if you have pre-existing kidney problems. If you are pregnant or are breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

What is it prescribed for?

Vitamin D deficiency

Vitamin D is vital for the proper functioning of your body. Therefore, Cipcal D3 Capsule is used in the treatment of vitamin D deficiency (a condition in which you do not have enough vitamin D in your body).

Osteoporosis

Cipcal D3 Capsule is used in the treatment of osteoporosis (a condition where your bones tend to become brittle and weak due to calcium deficiency).

Hypoparathyroidism

Hypoparathyroidism is a condition in which your body produces abnormally low levels of parathyroid hormone (PTH). This hormone is responsible for regulating and maintaining the balance of calcium in your body. Cipcal D3 Capsule is used to treat calcium deficiency caused by low PTH.

Osteomalacia and Rickets (bone disease due to Vitamin D deficiency)
