Description
Chlorocol 0.1% Ointment is an antibiotic. It is used in the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis (an infection of the outer surface of the eye that causes redness, discomfort, and discharge from the affected eye). It works by killing the infection-causing bacteria.
Chlorocol 0.1% Ointment may cause some side effects like burning sensation, irritation, and dryness of the eyes. These symptoms usually subside on their own. However, consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or if they become severe.
Chlorocol 0.1% Ointment is meant for use on the eyes only. Use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Continue using Chlorocol 0.1% Ointment for the prescribed duration. Bone marrow suppression is a condition in which there is decreased production of blood cells in your bone marrow (a spongy substance present at the centre of your bones). Chlorocol 0.1% Ointment should be used with caution if you have bone marrow suppression as it may cause a further decrease in blood counts. Your doctor may suggest blood tests to monitor the blood counts during the treatment with this medicine.
