Description

Cefi IV 1000 MG Injection is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections affecting your lungs, bones, joints, heart, stomach, intestine, skin, and urinary tract. It is not effective against infections caused by viruses. This medicine works by attacking the cell walls of the bacteria and eventually kills them. Cefi IV 1000 MG Injection shows side effects like nausea vomiting, headache, stomach pain, swelling, redness, and pain at the injection site. Most of these are temporary and resolve on their own. Inform your doctor if these side effects are bothering you. Cefi IV 1000 MG Injection is administered into your vein or muscle by a health care professional in a hospital or clinic. Your doctor will determine the dose and duration of the treatment based on your condition. It is important to complete the entire treatment. If you discontinue this medicine too soon, your infection may not be treated completely. Cefi IV 1000 MG Injection is not recommended if you have a known allergy to it. Community-Acquired Pneumonia

Community-acquired pneumonia refers to a bacterial infection affecting your lungs that is acquired in the community setting. Cefi IV 1000 MG Injection is used to treat community-acquired pneumonia.

Urinary tract infection

An infection in any part of your urinary system (the kidneys, bladder, ureters, or urethra) is called urinary tract infections (UTIs). People with UTIs may experience pain or a burning sensation when urinating, need to urinate more often than usual, and may pass bloody or cloudy urine. Cefi IV 1000 MG Injection is used to treat urinary tract infections caused by bacteria.

Bacterial skin infections

Skin and soft tissue infections occur when the bacteria invade the skin and its supporting structures. Cefi IV 1000 MG Injection is used to treat all skin infections including abscess (pus) caused by bacteria.

Intra-abdominal Infection

Intra-abdominal infection (IAI) describes a number of infections. It includes peritonitis (swelling of the peritoneum-lining of the abdominal wall), pancreatitis (swelling of the pancreas- an organ located behind the lower part of the stomach), diverticulitis (swelling of diverticula- one or more small pouches in the intestine), cholecystitis (swelling of the gallbladder-a small digestive organ that sits just under the liver), and cholangitis (swelling of the bile duct system). Febrile neutropenia is a condition of raised body temperature (fever) due to a low number of neutrophils (a type of white blood cell) in the blood. Cefi IV 1000 MG Injection is sometimes used as empirical therapy (treatment based on experience) for the treatment of febrile neutropenia.

Bacteraemia is the presence of bacteria in the blood. Bacteria can sometimes enter your bloodstream from dental or medical procedures, or from infections. Colitis

Cefi IV 1000 MG Injection can kill the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and lead to diarrhoea. Therefore use this medicine with extreme caution if you have gastrointestinal (stomach and intestine) diseases, particularly colitis (swelling of the inner lining of the colon), since it may worsen your condition.

Impaired liver function

Cefi IV 1000 MG Injection may increase liver enzyme levels and cause swelling of your liver. Hence, use this medicine with caution if you have liver problems due to the risk of liver damage. Dose adjustment should may be necessary based on the clinical condition.

Seizure disorders
