Description

Cefadur 125 MG Tablet DT is an antibiotic medicine that contains cefadroxil as an active ingredient. It is used to treat bacterial infections of the throat, skin, soft tissues, urinary tract, etc. It kills the bacteria, thereby stops the infection from spreading. Cefadur 125 MG Tablet DT is not effective against infections caused by viruses. Your doctor may advise this medicine alone or in combination with other medications to treat bacterial infections. Cefadur 125 MG Tablet DT has side effects like diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, weakness, nausea, and vomiting. Consult your doctor if any side effects are seen for a longer period. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it. Cefadur 125 MG Tablet DT is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. Cefadur 125 MG Tablet DT can be taken with or without food. The dose of this medicine and duration will be decided by your doctor based on the severity of your infection. For the ease of remembering, take it at the same time every day. Once the antibiotic is started, ensure that the entire course of treatment is completed. Avoid unnecessary use of Cefadur 125 MG Tablet DT, as excessive use may cause the bacteria to become resistant to antibiotics. Cefadur 125 MG Tablet DT effects may be delayed when taken immediately after receiving live vaccines. Therefore, take this medicine at least 1-2 hours after taking the vaccine. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, before using Cefadur 125 MG Tablet DT. If you have liver or kidney diseases, do not use this medicine without consulting your doctor. Cefadur 125 MG Tablet DT is not recommended for use in case of a common cold, flu or other viral infections.

Pyelonephritis is the swelling of the kidneys due to bacterial infection. This infection starts in your urethra or bladder and spreads through the ureters to the kidneys. Cefadur 125 MG Tablet DT is used to treat pyelonephritis.

Pharyngitis/Tonsilitis

Pharyngitis and tonsillitis are infections that cause swelling and soreness in the throat and tonsils. If this infection affects both the throat and the tonsils, then it would be called pharyngotonsillitis. Cefadur 125 MG Tablet DT is used to treat pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and/or pharyngotonsillitis.

Impetigo

Impetigo is a bacterial skin infection caused by group-A Streptococcus and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. This condition is characterized by red sores around the mouth, nose and may also be seen on hands and feet. These sores later burst and release yellowish liquid which on drying forms honey-coloured crusts. Cefadur 125 MG Tablet DT is used to reduce the sores and prevent the infection.

Cystitis

Cystitis is the swelling of the urinary bladder usually caused by a bacterial infection. This is more common in women because their urethra is much shorter, which means bacteria can go into the bladder more easily. Cefadur 125 MG Tablet DT is used to treat cystitis caused by bacteria.
