Description

Amlong A 25 Tablet is a combination of Atenolol and Amlodipine. It is an anti-hypertensive medicine used for the treatment of high blood pressure. This medicine works by relaxing the blood vessels, making the blood flow easily, thus lowering blood pressure. Amlong A 25 Tablet shows common side effects like swelling in your ankles or feet, headache, sleepiness, dizziness, tiredness, and upset stomach. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Amlong A 25 Tablet can be taken with or without food. The dose will be decided by your doctor. Do not stop the treatment abruptly as it can cause unwanted side effects. Inform your doctor about all the medicines and supplements you are taking as this medicine can interact with them and can cause side effects. Amlong A 25 Tablet is not used in children below 12 years of age, pregnant and breastfeeding women unless prescribed by your doctor. This medicine is not recommended if you have heart problems that cause a slow heartbeat, abnormal rhythm, or insufficient pumping of the blood as it can worsen your condition. Chronic stable angina

Chronic stable angina is a type of chest pain that occurs when your heart is working hard to get more oxygen, such as during exercise. The pattern of pain remains stable for at least two months. Amlong A 25 Tablet is used in the treatment of chronic stable angina characterized by shortness of breath, chest pain episodes, pain that spreads to other areas, etc.

Amlong A 25 Tablet should be taken with caution if you have coronary artery diseases (a condition where the blood vessels of your heart are damaged, mainly due to the build-up of plaque) as it may affect the functioning of your heart and worsen your condition. Your doctor will suggest tests to regularly monitor the functioning of your heart while you are on this medication.

Kidney disease

Amlong A 25 Tablet should be taken with caution if you have pre-existing kidney problems. This medicine may get accumulated in your kidneys and damage them further. Your doctor will suggest tests to regularly monitor your kidney function.

Use in children

Amlong A 25 Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Heart failure
