"The preparation steps for Cholecystectomy are as follows:

You may be asked about your present and past medical history and medication history.
Inform your doctor if you are using any blood thinners or pain killers.
Few days before the surgery, the doctor may prescribe a solution that will help in removing the stool and waste products from your intestines.
The doctor may ask you to undergo different lab tests before the surgery.
You may be having some imaging tests to see the condition of the gallbladder.
You may be advised to stop eating or drinking before 6 hours of the procedure.
Let your doctor know about your allergies to certain types of anesthesia or any known contrast dyes."
