Taping also called as kinesiology tape or k-tape is an elastic therapeutic tape made of elastic cotton with an acrylic adhesive that is used to treat pain and disabilities which arise while getting injured in any sport or if one is suffering from any physical disorders.

A specialist who is trained in applying k-tape has to be consulted before applying the tape. It can be applied in an X,Y, I or fan shape pattern depending on the specific problem and its location.
