Need to start early in the morning for 400kms car drive. Is it safe to take zolfresh 5mg in the previous night ?. I read somewhere like zolpidem can cause impaired driving.

Depends on what kind of zolfresh preparation you are taking. Immediate release have half life of 2 to 3 hrs but sustained release have longer half life . Also depends on other medication that you are taking with Zolfresh

If you are using zolfresh for first time it is better to avoid till you get used to it. If you are using it for long then their is no issue in driving.
