Zero interaction in schoo

My 3.5 years old child does not interact with teachers at all. He interacts fine with our relatives etc and even with unknown people while he is accompanied with me or my wife... but when that person responds back, he shies away and does not respond. His school counselor suggested to meet a doc.

It could be normal variation in child's development. Assessment to be done for other signs or symptoms if any.

the set of symptoms mentions could be related to either social anxiety, selective mutism, autistic spectrum and a host of other psychiatric or psychological causes.. kindly get your child evaluated at the earliest.. the earlier the intervention, the better it will be for the child.. however be assured that some children without any disorder also exhibit such behavior.. a psychiatrist may after evaluation will be able to provide you with the requisite information.
