Yellowish teeth

2016-05-08 10:53:15
I have been suffering from yellow teeth from over 15 years now, for sometime they get whiter at times same back to yellow...went to many dentist and all gave instant solution of polishing which had diminishing effect after 3 months. I take care of my teeth orally well if not too well. Lately one of my friends asked me to visit a physician rather then a dentist as he mentioned it could be because of some internal body deficiency of a particular mineral or calcium or vitamin...pls suggest.

Hi there....teeth staining can be due to many reasons...if you want a proper diagnosis you should consult a oral medicine specialist. For treatment, as a permanent solution, you can opt for either laminates or ceramic veneers. Take care...!!!

Naturally our teeth colour ranges from pearly white to pale yellow so everyone cannot hv white teeth. Get scalling n polishing done by dentist. If u r not happy with ur teeth shade later, u can get bleaching done by dentist which 'll lighten ur teeth by 2-3 shades. Alternatively u can use a teeth whitening toothpaste such as snowdent after scalling. Whitening gels used daily along with customized dental trays provided by dentist r also available in the market. Avoid heavily coloured foods, tea n coffee, cool drinks, smoking n tobacco products as they stain teeth. Certain medications also cause staining.
