Wrist pain and weakness

When I was pregnant with my twin babies two years ago, this weird pain started in my left wrist. It came and became intense at night After delivery and rest followed it, it almost went away. But for about a month I started to feel the same pain but not just on wrist but also at the end of my thumb and sometimes in inner elbow. Inner elbow feel a bit swollen also. I visited general physician and he prescribed some tests. Crp, blood test, urine analysis came normal. Vitamin D was 27 so he prescribed tablet to take once a week for four weeks and once a month for a year. He also prescribed catchnil tablet for two weeks. It's been 3 days and the pain at night isn't getting better. I cant handle this with my two year old twins. Whom I should consult, an orthopaedic or nuerologist? and what can be the possible cause? Is this something curable?

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. Based on the details you've provided, it seems that it is more likely to be something musculoskeletal in origin. An orthopaedic consultation will definitely help you out. Your problem requires a proper diagnosis and appropriate treatment. To address this, I recommend the following things that might help: 1. Ice application over the inner elbow. 2. Consult Orthopaedics for ruling out other possibilities like neuropathies (here a proper history and reviewing your previous treatment can be done). 3. Medication which can be added for immediate relief. Please feel free to contact me should you have any further questions or require clarification. Hope this helps you.
