The tiny swellings you observed could be mucoceles . These are fluid filled cavities that occur inside the cheek walls , lips etc. These usually occur when the salivary glands are blocked with mucous. These are most commonly experience but require a visit to the dentist. They can be removed easily with minor surgical procedures and oral anesthetic gels.
