White patch on child's forehead

My daughter(8 years) has developed a white patch on her forehead since June. There is slight vertical depression in that area. She was born normal delivery- forceps. I am not able to figure out if the depression was there from before or it's new, and is more visible due to white patch. Please advise the reason for these. Thankyou
