White discharge from nipples

I have white discharge from my nipples without pregnancy. Doctor prescribed a prolactin test. In the result, prolactin was 39 ng/mL My breast were a bit swollen and periods were delayed by 4 days Please suggest ways to reduce prolactin and what could be the reason behind the same. If any medication is required, please let me know. Thanks
