Hi the symptoms you have described signify the presence of OCD, however one thing that your Psychologist must have definitely told you is that you will be fine with proper treatment. Moreover, alongiwth psychotherapy I strongly recommend that you visit a Psychiatrist as well because for treatment of OCD you will definitely need a combination of both.
Another thing I am sure you are aware that everyone gets anxious at one point or the other, but they don't do anything to get rid of that anxiety. In other words there's a bell shaped curve of anxiety which states that once it reaches a high it will automatically go down also, but what we do in OCD is we interfere with the curve as in we don't let the anxiety come down normally we engage in some repetitive behaviours to get instant temporary relief, this is where your Psychologist will work with you through some scientific techniques.
So if you follow Psychologist and Psychiatrist treatment plan you will be fine, just be patient and you will definitely see the results.
