What is this growth look like?
Hello doctors,
Patient has no symptoms, no fever or pain and absolutely fine ,aged 72 and diabetic. He is having this swelling or growth in the upper part of the mouth. No bleeding no pain and no difficulty of speech or food intake. I have attached photograph for your reference. Kindly let me know what does it look like? Is it malignancy?
From the pic shared looks like just flabby maxillary tuberosity(bone) and normal overlying gum due to differential resorption of alveolar bone following extraction of the teeth there.
But photographs don't give a detailed picture ,best to a have clinical &radiographic examination done.

There is a retained root of corresponding tooth that's causing infection below root.. it should be extracted after an X-ray

Go for xray & extraction of that root.. the swelling will automatically reduce after extraction ..

A physical examination is needful in such cases. That swelling can be due to many reasons . It may also be due to the lower teeth hitting on gums .Provided hes diabetic and oral complications are quite common in diabetic patients .You may visit and consult a dentist to rule out the exact thing

Hello Sir, the possibility of a remnant root after extraction is there . Also check whether the lower opposite tooth to the concerned site is touching that area upon biting which can result in irritation.

Depends on when did you notice it, and also did it grow in size?
Otherwise, it can also be normal anatomy, that can be confirmed after physical examination.
