If its a new weakness , need to rule out stroke. Consult a neurologist and do CT or MRI Brain

Regular physiotherapy, active and passive, is the only way out of it. Add proper nutrition to it. Other medications can be given as per symptom basis. If weakness has crept in 1 year after stroke, means it wasn't there immediately after stroke, then it's unlikely that the weakness is due to stroke. In this case better take a consult for proper evaluation.
