Warts are infectious skin growths that are caused when a virus infects the top layer of the skin. They appear as a small, rough growth on a person’s hands or feet, or on other parts of the body. There are many types of warts, some appearing flat or raised, sometimes they grow in large groups. They are harmless and not associated with any complications.
A wart can spread easily, so avoid scratching or picking your warts. Also, do not touch somebody else’s wart as you may get it too. They can be painful and get infected if not treated for a long time.
