Hello Doctor, I am 26 weeks pregnant and got gestational diabetes. Currently taking glycomet sr 500 but still my blood sugar is high around 170. My Doctor has not yet recommended insulin. Is there any side effects of it? Thank you

Insulin is the safest drug  in pregnancy for diabetes. Ur treatment has to be modified as glucose fluctuations are not safe for baby.
