Local anaesthesia is used to relieve pain during surgical procedures. Root canal treatment involves opening root canals and pulp exposure which is painful procedure Soo to relieve the pain local anaesthesia is used. Doing root canal without local anaesthesia is highly impossible and not clinically recommended also.
