Greetings Mild fever and occasional vomiting are common immune responses in a 7-week-old after vaccination, particularly if the rotavirus vaccine was given. These symptoms typically resolve within 48 hours and can often be managed with rest, regular feeding, and paracetamol as directed by your doctor. However, you should contact your pediatrician if the fever reaches 100.4°F or higher, or if the vomiting persists and leads to fewer wet diapers.

Mild fever for 1–2 days after vaccination can be normal. Vomiting once or twice may or may not be related to the vaccine and can also happen due to a coincidental viral infection. Since the fever settled with paracetamol and has not recurred, that is reassuring.
