Hi, I am 23 weeks pregnant, with borderline sugar which seems to have increased in last 2 months. Based on Gynecologist suggestion consulted a diabetologist. She prescribed Volibo 0.2 tablets during breakfast. I trust the doctor but general description of tablet mentions it's not safe during pregnancy. Is it safe to consume?
Hello.. if you have borderline sugars, first line of treatment must always be lifestyle changes (considering the sugars are not too high). If still high, add meds. Insulin is generally the safest but there are guidelines for oral meds too. Depends on your treating doctor. Discuss thoroughly with your doctor regarding your queries.
