Hello, even though commonly taken as a health supplement,
Vitamin D3 and
calcium tablets are intact a medicine and in absence of deficiency of
vitamin d and calcium, regular use can lead to increased calcium levels and its deposition (sometimes in the form of stones). There are several other causes of stones too depending on their site and composition hence it can not always be attributed to the tablets.
It’s important to understand that if there is any indication for which the tablets have been started it needs further discussion regarding the same.
Next Steps
If no definite indication is there for starting these medications, it is advised that they should be discontinued as of now and restarted only after appropriate reports and consultation in this case.
