Vitamin D3 60k during pregnancy

Hi doctor.. my wife is 26 weeks pregnant. My doctor advised me vito D3 60k tablet (once in week for 2 months means 8 tablet). On yesterday checkup she continued 4 tablet of vito d3 60k for next one month without doing any test for vitd3 level..is it safe to consume so high dosage for 3 months?... she is taking Aricam Max tablet for calcium  which dont have vitamin D3.

Vitamin d toxicity is a known phenomenon Vitamin d supplement should be taken only if there is a documented deficiency You can get her vitamin d levels checked
