Vitamin D deficiency

I am 30 yrs old from last 1 week I'm suffering with pain at anterior shin area which was severe when I stand for long n walk. Got my lab test done n my vit D level was very low at 8.8. Took one vit D3 6L injection IM started taking oral supplement from today. Is this a serious problem or can be cured. Plz advise.
